Our Backcountry Lodge

Accommodation

Deep in the Canadian Rockies backcountry, Chatter Creek guests stay in a well-appointed large double occupancy room with an adjoining en suite bathroom and two double beds.

Whether you stay in Vertebrae Lodge or Solitude Lodge, you are guaranteed a warm and comfortable place after an epic day of snowmobiling. Both lodges are built from handcrafted old-growth local spruce logs and offer plenty of space to mingle in a relaxed and casual atmosphere.

Dining Experience

We offer our guests a wide variety of unforgettable meals prepared by our chefs with your complete satisfaction as a goal. Our professional baker will also treat you daily with artisan bread, fine pastries and incredible baked goods.

Snowmobiling guests with dietary requirements need not worry. Please let us know prior to your arrival and we will ensure that we have your requirements looked after. Whether you are a diabetic, need a gluten or lactose-free diet or follow a kosher diet, we are pleased to accommodate your needs.

The Lounge

We serve a wide range of beers, liquors and cocktails in addition to having an extensive wine list with great selections from British Columbia and around the world.

Massages

After snowmobiling, sometimes the muscles need some attention. At Chatter Creek, you can enjoy a massage from our in house massage therapist.

Massages are available for 1/2 hour or one-hour sessions. The cost is $55 per 1/2 hour and $90 per hour.

We recommend that you book a massage at least two weeks prior to arrival, to ensure that you get your preferred time. To book massages please complete our massage booking form.

Hot Tub and Sauna

Other amenities include a large outdoor hot tub and a perfectly appointed sauna. The hot tub and sauna are a perfect way to relax after a satisfying day on the mountain.

Internet Access

Chatter Creek provides high-speed internet access for basic needs such as emailing, messaging and browsing the internet. A telephone is available to stay in touch with the folks at home. We recommend that you download large files before you arrive. We also ask that you avoid video-conferencing or streaming (i.e., Skype, FaceTime, YouTube).

Drying Outdoor Clothing

An important aspect of any powder snowmobiling holiday is the ability to dry all wet gear before the next day’s adventure. Chatter Creek uses a forced air drying system to gently dry clothes and boots without deforming custom liners. Each guest is assigned an individual locker to store and dry their outdoor gear.
