Happy New Years to all!
A lot of new in the past week. Conditions are excellent but we everyone needs to stay careful.
We have been enjoying the Chatter Creek area for many years. This is the best of the best for snowmobiling. We have been sledding for thirty some years in many areas of BC: Valemont, McBride, Blue River, Clearwater, Radium, etc
Zeke came across a small lodge being built out of Golden and had a hard time leaving it. Getting to know Dale and Dan, he made arrangements for us to stay the first night they opened. They were still sweeping the sawdust off the dining room table and floor when we sat down to enjoy the first meal. Since then we have watched the area grow and become the phenomenal sledding area that it is.
With all the cat trails that are open and available for sledding in the early spring, it makes it so accessible to high alpine and visuals such as ‘The Pearl” “South Park”, the Chatter Glacier, and actual sledding on the Vertebrae Glacier through the “keyhole”. Many of these areas are between 9 and 10 thousand plus feet.
With the ease of the cat trails, it makes it very accessible for every member of a family (ladies and children will just love it).
To compliment the sledding are the accommodations!
From double occupancy guest rooms to fabulous meals.
From housekeeping staff to the chefs and the rest of the staff, all go out of their way to make your stay wonderful! This is a top-notch operation!
Truly the “top of the world”! It’s an absolute must-do for your bucket list, for families and powder hounds to full extreme sledding.
Thank you very much Chatter Creek!
Chatter Creek has become an annual tradition for the sledshot.com crew.
After each season of traveling around BC and Alberta experiencing some of the best terrain Western Canada has to offer, our trips to Chatter never cease to deliver the goods!
The terrain at Chatter is so extensive that whatever the conditions we find what we are looking for. Glaciers, hillclimbs, tree riding, rolling mellow terrain when you want it, booters and drops in every direction… and all connected by the cat roads. Travelling is so easy because of the cat roads, and the area that can be covered in a day is mind blowing. Remember to bring a spare gas can!
Couple the astounding terrain with the beautiful lodging and you have a perfect recipe that only Chatter Creek can deliver on every year.
Comfortable bedrooms, amazing dining (breakfast, lunch AND dinner), hot tub and sauna, and then the option to play foosball, pool and watch the latest movies in the bar – a multi-day trip with great evenings and sledding on your doorstep – it’s no wonder it’s become an annual tradition for the crew.
To anyone thinking about going to Chatter….. stop thinking…. and book now. You won’t regret it!
